Leg knife history

Hi !

I have start to fascinating about leg knives. I mean such knives which have bottle openers.
Have anybody idea about history or background of those knives ?

I have thougt to starting collect them but it looks like that there are colt, schrade and rough rider brand mostly selling today.

Have you any idea´s how to start collect them ?

I know exactly what knives you are talking about (slip-joints with handles shaped like a woman's leg with a high-heel shoe that also serves as a bottle opener). There is a sub-forum here at Bladeforums specifically for old-time knives like that called the "Traditional Folders and Fixed-Blade forum". You can find this forum by clicking on the "Forum" button at the top/left of the screen (under the Bladeforums logo). That will show you a forum directory. The "Traditional" forum is in the center column of the first group of listings.

You should be able to find other members in that sub-forum who share your interest.
