Recently I got a Rough Rider white bone handle small leg knife to try out the pattern. I gotta admit that I'm in love ( I don't say this often) with this pattern. Is there another manufacturer like Bulldog or Fighting Rooster that makes this same little knife? Alot of the leg knives I see on E-bay are older Nehi or Coke Promo items that are more of a bottle opener than a knife. Where can I get a decent priced quality leg knife? TIA

I just got the latest Bulldog catalog and they offer them....celluloid handles with no bolster.

BTW, the boot is designed to be a bottle opener. You will see a lot of antique leg knives with beer and brewery advertising on the handles.

If it's the same catalog I'm thinking of it's Parkers. You can email them at bbknife@bellsouth.net, I don't think they have a web page.

They also sell a lot on eBay, username is silverladdie.

Winchester made some leg knives that I've seen on eBay, most of them go for around $40-$60 depending on age and condition and all that I remember were celluloid (which I avoid).

Best of luck!

Thanks CPirtle.

Well, okay, I'll own up! I found a site recently whilst googling for Bulldog knives.
However, I tried e-mailing them through the site to ask if the site was live & I could order from it, and have had no response. :grumpy:
Yes, it was the bbknife address on the website.
I reckon that the site is old & no longer maintained, as there's only a HTTP number, not a www dot nameofsite, there's references to old dates, broken links, and it generally needs some tidying up, which is why I haven't posted the link.
Interestingly, on the website it says that you can have a catalogue free if you're spending $100+ per 6 months
I'll keep an eye out on Ebay for silverladdie. :)
Are the wharncliff whittlers still available ex-catalogue kinfeaholic?

well ebay has them, and so does bulldog. Bulldog I can recommend after the experience I had with the owner (it was awful), so if you do, its at your own risk. Ebay, is about the only other good alternative out there, and you can find some decent deals to. So that may be worth checking out.

Check out hangloose-products #1704 on fleabay for your Rough Rider needs.
I bought all the weird patterns and such from him and he was excellent to deal with.
