Leg packs?

Does anyone have any experience with leg pack systems? I have been looking these over as an alternative to butt-packs but can't decide how practical they would be.

I have found the thigh pockets of BDU style pants very useful but a little limiting. Leg packs look like a good next step.

You might want to check out the civilian labs packs from tad gear. They offer a variety of carry methods including drop leg, belt, underarm and others. The idea seems very good but I have yet to try one out myself nor have I heard from anyone who has used them.
