Legal in Toronto Canada?

I was planning on ordering a balisong online, and getting shipped to my home in Toronto, Canada. However, I'm not sure if its legal for me to have it shipped into Canada and to my home. Is anyone familiar with the laws here? I've asked this question before and recieved mixed answers. Some say to get them shipped here disassembled in legal packages, and some say I'll have no legal problems just shipping the whole thing here. More info on this is much appreciated. Thanks

No question about it: possession is a contravention of the Criminal Code and you cannot ship it "legally". For the details, go to the Canadian forum and search out previous posts that deal specifically with these issues.

From what I hear, Canadian customs ACTUALLY do their job and catch these things.. I have had some experiences 'helping' out poeple.. but you might need special arrangements from twaht I hear. Good luck

So there is no way to recieve a balisong through the mail and there is no way of recieving one and posessing one legally? Im guessing it's illegal to sell them locally also so I don't see how I can get holds of one. Is there anyway of recieving one without breaking the law? Im starting to think this hobby isn't worth the trouble.
