Does anyone know whether or not it is legal to carry a balisong in the ststae of Pennsylvania, thank you.

Unless you live in Arizona or oregon, it is probably illigal to have possesion of a balisong in public.

Hey, it's legal to carry one in most places in Alabama also

Oregon and AZ aren't the only places. It is also true that you can carry one in Indiana, but you are subject to get hassled a lot depending on what LEO you are dealing with.

technically there is no law against them in VA either but if the blade is over three inches in length then it must be worn in the open.

based on recent case law i have heard of a balisong is NOT considered being a gravity knife so it is ok in PA. If u dont wave it around in public it wont cause any trouble for u anyway.

Here in Indiana they dont seem to have a problem unless it is a button activated switchblade.

2. Your attitude

About every officer I know agrees, it isn't worth the paperwork if somebody is not acting foolish or like a bad-ass. Also I don't know any officer who would risk their career just to take somebodies knife. DSF
