In Russia you can get certificate from the store where you bought knife that its sports utility knife not a weapon. But i guess in US its different.

I think one of the regulations say cannot conceal any fixed dagger or dirk even under 3" however how about the cutting knife you know some knifes are made to cut not stab.

How about this one will it be considered dagger even though it almost cannot be used for piercing?

do you live in the USA?? if so it depends on where you live at. every state then citys have there laws about knifes. CA laws are very hard on knife owners compared to Florida knife laws.

I'm not sure where you get that impression about California knife laws. Sure, there are other states that have more lenient laws, but California isn't so bad.

California law alows the open carrying of ANY fixed-blade of ANY size. It allows the carrying of any size manual folding knife, conceald or open-carry, as long as it has a ball-detent or some other feature that holds the blade in the closed position. It also allows owning and carrying of switchblades if the blade is 2 inches long or less.

I know that some cities/counties in CA have length limits on manual folders, and perhaps other restrictions, but state laws are pretty liberal.

Here in San Diego I have walked right by cops with a large fixed-blade on my hip, in plain view, and they didn't say a word. And I don't exactly look like a law-abiding citizen. I'm what could be describe as a "biker". Freedom under the law is a wonderful thing.

I read the post here on the forms. that is where I am getting my info at. Florida has no blade length law and switchblades are allowed to be carried here. It is very rare that the cops start trouble with you about your knife.
