Legal width of knife?

Hey Folks,

I live in New York State and have read the penal code in regards to knife types and sizes that one can legally carry on his/her person. However, I have not found anything related to knife width and whether there is a restriction on that. Is this anywhere in the NYS penal codes that specifies this?

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I've never heard of a width restriction.

No "width" restriction. A knife designed solely as a weapon can be an issue as a "dangerous" knife. NYS has no lenght limit pe se, NYC does ( 4").
