Legal???

The link you gave shows an error, can't tell what type of knife you are referring to. If it's this one:

and you are over 16 and have no criminal record, it would be legal to own and carry "on the street" almost anywhere in the USA, but there probably are exceptions to that so it does depend on where you live and, in some places, how old you are. Malls are private property and can (and sometimes do) set their own rules. Parks, public buildings, and other public places where people congregate sometimes have additioal rules as well.
 
If I am not mistaken the city of Boston passed a law last year limiting carry to folding knives with a blade of 2 inches or less. I am not sure of what the state law is, but depending where you are going in MA it is illegal.

You might also post this question in the knife law forum and get a more accurate idea of what the state vs city laws are.
