Yup, it all started with L Legendary_Jarl and I communicating about a certain dagger and... I wound up finding this Linder Kris Dagger online and have one coming my way.
Careful with those enablers, they are everywhere! 😅

A pic found online...

Okay, I have to admit that my not having any Kris shaped knives is one of my biggest reasons for being interested in purchasing this knife. Another biggy for me is that it's made in Germany.
But, what truly sealed my decision to order this knife, is my liking the look of the knife's thick blade and thick rounded ricasso. 😊

Very nice dagger! Please share some pictures when it arrives. I'm curious about tang thickness. The regular(non-kris) dagger I have is very very thin(2nd from right).

Definitely will do, buddy! 👍

Here is some cool information they have about it on the website I purchased it from...

Because of the complexity and the man hours it takes to produce the wavy, double edged, Kris dagger blade, they are no longer being made by Linder. however, in 1992, Linder had a very large lot of Kris blades forged, many of which were put into storage. They have just recently taken them out and produced some marvelous daggers. Each one is hand made in Solingen, Germany where Linder has been making superior quality knives for over 100 years.

This Linder model 218613 has a mirror polished 1.4034 stainless steel blade and is approximately 9" overall. The wavy edged, Kris blade is expertly ground and polished. The edges will cut, but are not fully sharpened. The beautiful handle features a polished brass, ball-end double guard, leather and brass and black and red spacers, Genuine Stag handle, and a polished brass pommel. For carrying, a traditional, slim leather belt sheath with metal tip is included.

By the way, where did you get that second one from the left? You mentioned it having been made in Mexico, did you acquire it in that country?

As for the blade thickness on that dagger I ordered... I think they listed it as, I think... 7mm 😱

Sad that they seem to be falling to decay. Hopefully they will re-emerge from that. I'm thinking the dagger I have is from the 92 lot you mentioned, PPR which is the acronym that appears on the blade is the acronym of the blacksmith who forged these daggers. But yours might be from a newer lot as it is actually thicker than mine is and doesn't show PPR.

It was a gift from my parents. They actually classify it as letter opener. They seem to have significantly increased the price. It cost my parents close to 100 usd from what I remember. 20 mxn = roughly 1 USD

They have other interesting products:

This one is about 100 usd:
