Legends of the Fall

I know this has been asked a dozen times, but I searched the old threads and realized anyone who asked pretty much got no answer, so I'll try it.

Who made the knife Brad Pitt used in "Legends of the Fall"? The film was made in Canada so I'm assuming it's a local (Canadian) maker.

All I really need is a picture of the actual knife so I can make a repro.

There used to be a picture of the knife on the movie web site. Handle appears to be moose antler.

Yeah the handle has a large fork at the end.

A quick internet search leads to this knife which is supposed to be "similar" to the original

You might want to ask Brian Lyttle to make one for you...by coincidence, Brad visited his shop while filming the movie and Brian ended up making knives for some other movies...you can read about it here: http://www.lyttleknives.com/profile3.htm

I just got an e-mail from him, nice guy but he doesn't know who made the knife.

I'm sitting here watching "Legends of the Fall" on DVD frame by frame, drawing out the knife.

The one in the pic is similar, but the one in the film was not saber ground like that, it was a full flat grind.

I'll just design it up from scratch.
