Legit Muskrat??

If I had to guess, I would say a new production or SMKW built. I thought I remembered seeing in a past thread that the everlastingly sharp etch was not common to the yellow handled SW knives. I also don't remember seeing and SWs that had that shield. I could be way off base, but I'm thinking it is not genuine.

I'm with Chuck on this one, definately an after 2004 knife. This is from a second round of yellow handled offerings, the first round being made by Camillus. Not sure who made this particular knife.

There is a plethora of yellow Schrades on Ebay right now that are not genuine Schrade. If there is the Everlasting Sharp Etch and no pattern on the back tang, no go for me.

I'll quadruple that! Even if it was, that price is pretty outlandish, for a few more bucks you could probably get a vintage Schrade Hawbaker muskrat.

"forget the markings... read the knife..."

Is that pinned bolsters I see? How about the typestyle of the shield text? Isn't that a trapper blade opposite the pocket blade? What is up with the pocket blade nick location? It isn't a Schrade. It is a nostalgia marked SFO made for somebody by somebody else. SMKW or Blue Ridge is a guess.

This seller, any2edgedsword, is one I have passed over repeatedly. $165 for an LB-1 scrim? Check his other items. Or search "SCHRADE YELLOW" and compare.

Thanks guys. It appears unanimous!
Just another troller, fishin' for suckers!

I think this is a Cammilus knife made for Schrade. Exact blades and pattern of the earlier Buck 313 made by Cammilus, and also same blades/pattern as Green/yello derlin Remington Muskrat.

I bought one of these in August of '08. It is definitely a Camillus. Good knife, but not a Schrade.
