lemon or mineral oil

I have always used mineral oil, but wondered of the effectiveness of lemon oil.

Lemon oil is just mineral or some other oil with lemon scent added.

Yes, for preservation of bone or stag, mainly to keep it from shrinking. If it is the same thing with lemon added I would not think it was any better. I use linseed, or tung oil for wood. Thank you, Charles

Non drying oils like mineral oil should not be used on natural materials-especially stag.
The oil softens and discolors the material. Natural materials don't contain mineral oil in nature.
Use paste wax instead.
