Length of HI khukuris

Hi Bill,

Thanks much for always politely and knowlegeably answering my assinine questions. I have another one:

The length listed on the khukuris is overall, right? Is this the length all along the knife (i.e., following the curve of the spine) or the direct line length from handle to point?

Overall direct line straight across. The total "reach" of the knife and the only sensible way to measure a khukuri. Going around the corner gives a measurement which cannot be used in any practical sense.

Even if you give blade + handle length you will end up with something more than the total "reach" which I feel is a bit misleading.

I don't mind the questions, at all. That's what this forum is all about.
