Why Just Own A Knife When You Can Own A Piece Of Art?

My name is Richard Von Hagen Palmer, functional artist and the maker of Von Hagen Knives. Each original, one of a kind Von Hagen Knife is handmade by me. For me, part of the thrill of being a functional artist is sketching my ideas on paper and then watching them come to life by my hands and in front of my eyes.

This is one of those ideas. This knife is one of the original designs that I am very proud of. It is my "Max" Knife. It was named after my first Bulldog. I made the prototype for this knife about five years ago and I use it every chance I get. It has a "Pistol Grip" for a comfortable hold and excellent control.

This MAX KNIFE is ground from 1/8" thick 01 TOOL STEEL bar stock. The CLOSED TANG knife is 9 3/4" long. The 5 7/8" blade has a BEVEL GRIND. At its widest part, the blade is 1 5/16". The handle is incredible LEOPARDWOOD. This knife also has a BLADE GUARD made of NICKEL BRASS and attached to the blade securely with SILVER SOLDER.

Thanks for looking,
Rick

Haven't seen you around the forum for a long time.

I like the look of this knife. The finish on the blade looks good.

Classy looking knife , love the design on your blades that you create.

Thank you for the nice feedback.

Also Keith, yeah it's good to be back. Had to take some time off for medical reasons. Still waiting surgery but back up and running for now. Thank you to you also for your feedback.
