Guys anyone have any experience with this knife?
It's a Ti frame lock with an s30v blade, feels super in the hand. I'm thinking of picking one up.
What say the pros?
thanks

The 790 Lerch designed Subrosa is an excellent knife with a medium recurve 3.6" (I think) S30V blade. I like the Nitrous A/O models and this is probably the fastest to open of the bunch. The Ti scales are very slim and the balance is blade forward. One very neat trick is BKC included a small hex stop pin, making it adjustable for play by just using a T6 Torx to loosen the set screw. Discontinued this year, it's worth seeking, IMO.

Here's a photo of mine (at the top):

...and this is of the original custom knife, in a flipper format, but you can see the close similarity:

There Is one note of caution; keep your finger tip from the very top of the knife when opening it...there a fairly sharp cutout in the tang of the blade to work around the stop pin mentioned above...it's not bad but it's gotten me a couple of times, although once used to it there's no problem.

Don't be surprised if the 790 hogs most of your EDC pocket time. This knife is feather light for its size, has all the blade you'll ever need and has an incredibly thin profile. Combine all that with its classy and stylish looks, quality materials and construction, and you just might end up buying 2 of them. My only complaint, just wish the thumb stud was a wee-bit more pronounced.:)

Awesome underated knife. A bit dangerous. It will open if you drop it. You can get great deals on these.

Like mine a lot. Did have an issue with the pivot screw backing out and making the blade hard to unlock. A little teflon tape on the threads solved that problem. Very light, fast opening, great feel and killer looks plus it cuts very well. What more could you ask for?

I said: Simple fix; I solved the thumbstud issue by removing the 'traffic cone' and replacing it with a set of standard silver studs. You get the idea - and it works and looks great! :)

I do like the feel of the knife but i have two issues with it. First, i wish it was also tip-up carry. Second, the handles scratch VERY easily. If both of these issues did not exist i would carry this knife all the time.

Thanks guys. Got one and so far am in love. Feels so good in hand. Thing fires lightning quick and I'm a fan of the blade design as well. Carries like it's not even there.
Only complaint is no lanyard hole nor tip up carry option.
