I have a very special announcement to make. The first twenty Gun/Knife serial numbers will feature blades, hand ground by Ernest Emerson. As you may know, hand ground knives by Ernest Emerson go for many hundreds of dollars. That makes the first twenty sets of Guns and Knives very special and very collectible.
This means serial numbers 001 thru 020 are the Emerson hand ground numbers only.
The guns are serialized ECS 00001 and up (ECS 00001, 2, 3 xxx etc.). The matching handground blades are serialized 001-020. In other words Gun #ECS 00007 matches handground knife #007, Gun #ECS 00020 matches handground knife #020.
After knife #020 all knives will be serialized to exactly match the serial# on the gun. For example Gun #ECS 00021 will match production knife #ECS 00021, Gun #ECS 00326 matches production knife #ECS 00326, etc.
This is to give a distinction between the handground first twenty and all subsequent knives. This may prove valuable to collectors so everyone can tell the difference down the road.
If you want one of these, you better get your order in now. Les told me he was getting bombed with inquiries but since this is the first announcement about the handground blades you might still be able to request a specific number.
