I have heard good things about Yann Nomine's work, so I recently ordered a 12cm Laguiole knife from Yann Nomine and Renaud Dumarcay at Les Couteliers de Fountainebleu.
I dont usually get packages from France, so even the post lady was curious when it arrived............
The juniper covers smell very nice, peppery, a little sharper stronger scent compared to lignum vitae.
i need to head out for a bottle of cabernet, bread, cheese and sausage, so gotta run......
please be encouraged to post any work by these gentlemen!
Edit: this is a very sturdy strong knife, much closer to a Buck 110 than a GEC slip joint. The sheath also has a very nice detail of a leather backing on the male snap stud, so the knife cannot be scratched by the sheath.
