We have decided to reinstate Les as moderator. After conversing with the board and listened to you, the members, we feel it is in the best interest of the forum to have Les back as moderator.

I again apologize to Les on the terrible timing and the basic way I handled the situation.

I have talked to Les and we have ironed out any problems that exist.

I was also reminded that he is much like myself and it was like calling the kettle black

As moderator of a forum and not just a poster we do have certain responsibilities that we must not overlook. This is not to say that we will hide the truth. What it is to say is that there are better ways of presenting it.

Now let's get back to having fun and talking knives!

Commendable job of admitting where you were at fault Mike and being open minded enough to get together with Les and iron things out. Les - ditto.

I am sure that, as Mike states, all of us that frequent this forum and love custom knives will benefit from Mike and Les''s continued partnership in this area.

Great to have you back Les

Welcome back, Les. Mike, I'm confident you made the right decision. FWIW, I think that all parties have demonstrated their open-mindedness and deserve everyone's respect for the mature way this was ultimately resolved.

Thank You!

I am glad to see a quick resolution to this situation.

I enjoy Les's moderation in the forum and his valuable insight.

I´m glad it all came to this end, Mike. Now, as you suggested, let´s get back to the knives, the reason of this forum´s existence.

Wow,

What a happy ending.

Oh yea, Dew...it's safe to come back now

In Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote that "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds." I hate it when smart people back themselves into ideological corners that they can't back out of.

Mike, you are a very class act. You listened to your constituency, spoke with Les, and made a decision that involved reversing yourself. Your stature has grown enormously in my eyes, and I am sure in the opinion of many Forumites. Bravo for your open-mindedness, courage and class.

Les, welcome back. Lets talk about custom knives.

Way to go Mike.

Yeah I'm crazy, but what do you want me to do about it

Welcome Back Les!

Thank You, Mike. Les is a very valuable resource and we can learn a lot from him.

Welcome back Les,glad everything got worked out.Mike you show alot of class admitting you made a mistake, then correcting it.

Mike--integrity, can't be bought, earned, or learned. But it can be displayed, and you have done so.

Only been a member a short time and this makes me glad I am. Good to know folks can still discuss problems and work them out.

Glad to see you back Les!
