He's hosting "Shark Feeding Frenzy" on Animal Planet right now. He's getting down there and swimming with them.

It's good to see him doing other stuff. I think he would do well as a host for reality shows, he's got the voice for it.

He hosted Shark Week last year too I believe, maybe two years ago already. He was a director and producer before he was ever known as a survivalist. A reality survival show would be kinda cool, see what regular people do in survival situations-not like survivor the show, mind you, that drama crap is retarded.

I new he was into filming, that much he expressed when he was doing survivor man.
I didn't know that he was actually involved in tv/film other than that though.

I caught an hour long show a week or so back wherein Les was 'greening' the isolated house he and his wife bought on 150 acres in the Canadia woods. They were fighting the late fall weather and trying to get their place winterized, install solar electric and so on. Good show.

he started off doing music videos i believe....hated being stuck indoors and then just busted loose on the outdoors....when he was around 26 i think....now look at him :) good on les

Here is Les talking about the new show at the Outdoor Retailer Show at the end of July, he starts at about 2:52 into the video.

Les says his next show with the Discovery network will be " bigger, better, faster, more turbo-charged". Sounds interesting!

He seemed like he was getting burned out and rattled towards the end. He seemed to be afraid more often(with just cause!) and more exhausted. He was smart to move on.

I have seen ads that he has for a kids "survival" show on one of the kid cable channels.

I have been watching the kids survival show on the Cartoon Network for a few weeks now. Its good. Its called Survive this.

SURVIVE THIS has been excellent so far. Very well put together and the youth are learning great skills by DOING them.

I always thought a cool idea for a survival show would be to put 10 to 15 people on an island with basic supplies and see who could last the longest. They would need regular check-ups to ensure they weren't starving to death or suffering life-threatening illness/injury just to win the money.

Les Stroud jumped the shark

Haha! I didn't know he waterskis!

That's pretty much, exactly what the kids show "survive this" is, except with teenagers. Except there is no money reward at the end.

Cool. Too bad I'm too cheap for cable/satellite:D I'll have to see if episodes are available online.
