i recently bought a really pretty pearl Bulldog sowbelly, then i had this realization it’s so pretty i don’t wnt to do anything with it and was carrying a second knife like my $20 douk to actually do stuff with

so challenge today is let’s see photos of knives you actually do stuff with and preferably them doing something

one caveat, food prep does count, unless your cuting sausage while climbing in the Alps or opening coconuts on a deserted island, hence spreading peanut butter or slicing tomatoes in your kitchen with a $300 Schatt and Morgan does not count ! :)

spent all weekend in my shop, here are my two work knives, one is a $12 klein utility folder, the other is a old $1 imperial that has tin plate bolsters and plastic wrap scales that i rebuild with micarta also for a shop knife

the fixed blade is is a Footprint tools hacking knife made in Sheffield,it’s a beast, can pry with it, chop, hack, hit with a claw hammer, takes a beating and keeps on ticking

like sheepsfoot for shop knives as can just lick them across the belt sander and wha-la ! super sharp again

tks, happy monday

At work with installing new kitchens.
A panel needed a slot for electrical wiring and the Stag Crown Mora 311 did the trim.

It's made from a laminated Mora #311 blank, with aluminum guard and Sambar Stag Crown.

Maybe, although, speaking for myself, when I'm using my knife my hands aren't free to take a picture :D

Realistically unless I'm in the woods or fishing most of my knives open mail, boxes or cut something in the office.
