So I started a thread about jeans a couple years back and I loved getting everyone’s opinions and searching for myself. There’s been one on boots. But I swear there’s nothing like a new pair of socks!
Anyone got a brand your prefer?
I’m partial to Wigwam hikers. Merino wool and so comfortable all year round.

You??

Nice!!! I took my family to Zion National Park and found an amazing sock company. Darn Tough socks are Merino wool and they have an UNLIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY NO QUESTIONS ASKED policy. If you wear a hole in them or anything at all, send them back without any receipt and they ship you a brand new pair. They are pricey ($25 per pair) but they are high quality. Hiked for 5 days in Zion and they kept my feet in great shape. I wear them year round.

Great thread Terry!

That’s an awesome warranty! Wish Wigwam did that. Darn Tough huh? Thank you

I mostly wear Darn Tough year round, but have a drawer of leftover synthetic and wool socks from Thorlo, LL Bean, EMS, Wigwam and others.

For the coldest weather, I'll sometimes wear some of the heavier socks than the Darn Tough.

Guess what socks I'm wearing most of the time ....

I wear the American made guide gear Merino wool socks from Sportsman's guide.
I believe they come from the same factory as the Kirkland socks from Costco ?
They're comfortable, warm, and they've been holding up extremely well over the past 6 years.
Granted I did buy 12 pairs of them at the time, but that's because they were pretty affordable.
I still have every pair ( somehow not losing a single one ), and I bought so many because they were the 1st socks I found that fit me well and were truly comfortable.

I keep hearing so many good things about Darn Tough and may eventually try some, but my 12 pairs of guide gear socks will have to wear out first and if course they will need replacing since they don't have the warranty of Darn Tough.

So the wife and me were watching a mystery, where a woman had to identify her husband's body, who was missing the head.

Me: "How would you recognize my body without head ?"
My wife (instantaneously): "By your feet".
