Yes, frame handle. I've got a bit of a design in my head. Clip point 5" blade of 3/16" 1080, slight swedge. Stainless guard, red spacer. Thinking double guard like some of the vest bowies. I'm thinking African Blackwood, with the "frame" made of G10 spacer material in red/black/red so that I've got a bit of a stripe going down the handle. Going for not too flashy, with red highlights. Thinking 1/16 stainless pins around the frame. I'm thinking straight lined handle vs. the curvy coffins, although the subtle curve of the Emmons handle is appealing. Slight taper from front to back of the handle. It will be my first frame handle, and should be on the table at the guild show if I can keep the attention to detail and get it nice and clean.

I can see it in my head :)

Coffin guard on a coffin handle... nice touch Bing.

Drill and burn, perhaps? And I would bet you my lunch money that there is a though tang pin hiding underneath that that weeping heart shield. :D
The below looks like it is mortise tang handle construction.

Not sure what method Jay used on the below but it's not frame handle.

I'm drawn to well executed Coffin Handle knives.
Here's a giraffe bone mortised handle constructed piece by Jerry Lairson.

aha! Thank you Kevin. Can't explain my limited view in this instance, usually a little more adroit when it comes to construction methods...

Bruce Evans, both framed handles

The next two are full tangs.
This one is a kit blade that I handled, but it is a great execution of the shape.
