Hey guys,

I have a Big Chris Camp Knife in 3V being glued up as we speak, I got him to shorten it down to 6 1/4 inches and a bit thicker stock at .160, I asked for black canvas micarta with white liners. Let me see your Big Chris knives to get me pumped up and Ill post mine on arrival.

Thanks guys,
Joey

I like the sound of this tread. I will start with a hog killer I finished early this week. This knife is for a local guy who is not a member here. He has taken this knife with him to the Georgia/ Florida border to kill a couple Hogs.

The knife is based off my Camp Chopper, but this one has a fully sharpened clip and a double guard (first time for this).

This camp knife is lite for its size. It's one of the coolest things I own. It's the first "big" knife that I've ever used. I gets the job done.

.

Unfortunately I haven't used this one in the field yet. However, it's seen a lot of use around the house. I use it in the kitchen on a daily basis. I used it to skin my first deer this year.

I had a hard time finding a small knife until I found this one. It's a small knife for dudes with large and long fingers. I'm pleased. It's easy to maintain too. Just wipe it off. No problems.

Wow those are both beautiful, 3v? How long is the handle on that chopper? looks almost 7 inches.

Not sure what the secret projects your are referring to. I have two large pieces of M390 coming that will be used to make some Harpoon Tip Super Slicing SARs like this one:

I really fell in love with knife when it was finished.

The other plan is some Loveless inspired Chute Knives like this one:

These were first run trials that I feel were complete successes.
The Chute is a custom I have decided to keep for my own use.

Do not mean to hijack the thread, but I do love talking about my knives.
I make each knife as though I would never sell it and have to keep it for myself.

You love teasing me with that SAR don't you?

Hey Chris... Post one of your top secret knives.

Here is one of the top secret ones that has been sitting for a few months. It is going to have three different cutting edges. It keeps getting pushed back so he can work on custom orders. I designed this one and it will have orange bolsters, toxic scales, black liners, and an orange kydex sheath. One day it will get finished.

Big Chris does make a fine knife, just received one form him a week or so ago. No pic, but I wanted him to know he got a happy customer! Ill probably be looking for another from him like the small knife alfred mcdougal posted.

Once I get some time in my shop I'll post the kwaiken-ish blade Chris made for me. I'm almost certain that I'll use some cool Wenge scales.

Any way you look at it, Chris makes some really cool blades. From monster choppers to smaller blades, he doesn't seem to shy away from a variety of steels and designs. I've used my blade a bit and have found that his very fine grind makes slicing almost effortless.

Here's a "Hunter" made of O-1 that I just bought from Big Chris . It hasn't even arrived yet , but man I'm hoping it does soon :eagerness:

 I will have more on the way...as soon as the "top secrect" steel arrives :p...for now there is nothing my two 3V knives can't do :D

I just got my third knife from Chris. He makes a high-performance knife for a very reasonable price. And he's a pleasure to deal with.

M390, designed by Chris with a vague idea of what I saw looking for, handle by me. Chris is outstanding to work with and makes one heck of a knife!
