This small tanto blade has been ready for a while, and I jus couldn't finish it.
As I was not that busy this weekend, I finally have been able to get it ready.
It has an horyzontally polished K-100 blade, 4 3/4" long and almost 1/4" thick and a cord wrapped black ray skin handle with a pair of sterling silver menukis (finished in gold and black) representin two bats and the moon. this is the first tanto styled blade with a cosmetic upper grind I make.

I still have not made a sheath for it but am thinking of a leather covered Concealex one - it's been a while since I don't make leather covered sheats.
By its side, you can see one of my new styled kiridashi neck knives - thicker and wider than its predecessor, and in 440C stainless steel, now.
Let me know what you think, guys.

I think that false grind is a REALLY nice touch! Thanks for the great pic's of your and the other Brazilian maker's work. Appreciate your efforts!

I really like both of the knives in the picture. The neck knife is very good, but the larger one is one I like very much. The menuki looks quite original as well.

When I have a little time later I will send you an email.

Thanks for your replies, guys.
As a matter of fact, this knife is a milestone, as it shows - much more to myself than to others, no matter how funny this may sounds - how my workmanship is improving.
I would surely keep it if I wasn't trying not to get a collection of my own knives - or is it too late?

I have ordered a larger version of this knife, but with traditional tip, from Ivan. When I get it I will let everyone know what I think of it. I have a feeling that I am going to like this knife very much.

Just wanted you guys to know, also, that Ivan has been great with helping me put together this order, What a great guy.

Thanks for the kind words, Keith. You surely won't regret of your purchase, I assure you.
Regarding your Kiridashi, Paul, you surely got the prettiest of all I have made so far. I intend to make one of the larger, improved Kiridashis with a pair of menukis for my own use as soon as I have more menukis around. I really liked that little knife.
