I do exchange a bit with my EDC knife. Of all the knifes I own I tend to use a Case medium stockman, a case swayback jack, and this Small trapper the most. Its because they have exelent size and cv steel. I aso use a schrade and a Buck stockmans just about the size and a Case junior scout in regular EDC rotation but the 3 CV cases are my lieblings. Of theese patterns I think the small trapper has the best composition in its pattern. 2 long enough blades in a 3.5 rounded frame, what a perfekt package. Small for the pocket and big for the use. I so wish that I sometimes will own one of theese with a warncliffe secound blade in a custom micarta shadow pattern.

That's a great looking knife. The blades developing a nice patina and I like the bone scales. Thanks for posting it.

Nice example. I think I like the spey blade versions over the wharncliffe's myself. Something to spread peanut butter with..... or spey something.... or maybe skin something. Very usefull pattern.

A great pattern for sure. Carried a queen model of that knife for years and have posted photos a couple times. The clip is well suited to a fishing and small game hunting knife and I used it for that often. Those Case redbone knives are a great choice.

That's great jigging for a modern Case knife. I have always wanted one of these because they are the rare trapper pattern with half stops!

I've got a couple slim trappers, an old Schrade that I had to grind the spey into a sheepfoot on, and a Western. They do carrry and work great. The only time I get in trouble with one is if I try to choke up and cut near the point. (So I try not to do that.)

I like the Mini Trapper myself, in both the Spey and Wharncliffe varieties. It's right there in the sweet-spot for size and weight along with the Medium (Sm. Texas) Jacks, and medium Stockman patterns. Great knife with a lot of utility. Nice pic of yours, thanks for sharing it with us!

Mine is Amber Bone in SS but I love the Chestnut Bone CV that you have.

I like my Mini Trapper, I beleive it is perfectly sized for a pocket. One of my favorite knives. Not too fond of the spey blade, but the clip makes up for that

Indeed, I agree that it is a most excellent pattern. One of my favorites. I have some full size trappers as well, but prefer the mini trapper for EDC. Yours looks really nice and so does jc's.

Hard to beat a Case mini trapper, the spay blades, are excellent, harder use blades, or good blades to thin out and use for skinning, while keeping a thicker edge on the clip point blade, or vice versa. I carried a Camillus Yellow-jaket for some time, though it was full size it helped me appreciate Trappers.

Nice looking knives.

I only have the GEC patterns (large and small). I am actually a big fan of the spey, but the GEC patterns have taller blades, and prouder, pointier tangs.

I have a chance to take the Boy Scouts on a pn overnight to brand and castrate the cattle. Guess which pattern I am taking? My large and small GEC pattern scout and pioneer. I may get an actual chance to try out the spey blades!
