Let me show you the sheath of my people! (TGLB content)

Excuse my exceptionally poor photos this time. It has been while I've taken actual camera to my hand, since mobile phone "photographing" has replaced such activities lately (and unfortunately).
On top of the actual camera photos, I included some mobile phone photos from this weekend with my TGLB.

I had been planning on buying Busse for year, if not even years until beginning of this year I finally pulled the trigger. It was quite exciting, as TLGB sort of filled two holes of desire (?) for me: Busse knife itself and updated classic combat knife looks. Indeed, when I saw pictures of TLGB for first time I instantly loved how it looked (USMC on steroids).

I am really picky on sheaths in general. I have turned down LOADS of fixed blades because I thought the sheath sucked just by looking at the stock pictures. Since Busses don't come with sheaths, and since TGLB is pretty much my "grail knife" it was obvious that I had to get sheath made for it that filled my needs exactly (aka grail sheath).

So I contacted fellow who I had "worked with" before, Pekka Tuominen. You might know him as the guy who designed "Nilakka", Scandi/puukko influenced folding knife that also was collaborated by Spyderco. He also doesn't live too far away from me, so it was pretty cool that I could have sheath made by someone from my country and neighborhood.

So, since probably everyone is tired of reading already / or has scrolled down to see the actual pics, here they are.
I'll try to explain what and why I wanted for the sheath.

Key features (some explained further):
- Dark brown leather and white stitching
- Attachment with strap at the spine side + knob instead of button snap for classic feel and style
- Dangler
- Attachment for leg strap

Detail shot with the strap/knob. Why I wanted the strap for spine side was that I wanted the drawing of the knife to be as worry free as possible. Also the other way around, I would have minimal risk of cutting the strap as I insert the knife. White stitching adds nice contrast.

Look at the side, how the talon holes hide. Things kind of look crooked here, but it's all very nicely made!

Dangler at the back. There's multiple reasons why I wanted the dangler: 1: sheath moves more flexibly, but if gets too dangly you can tie the sheath to your leg. 2: Handle "leans out" from my sides for easy reach. 3: Is more comfortable/natural when sitting down. 4: Lets you wear t-shirt/jacket between the belt loop and knife handle.

Couple of pictures to demo how the handle kind of leans out. This might not be everyones thing, but I love it! I thought the knife could be too large for dangler, but I was pleased to notice it worked great for me.

And nope, this is not decorative piece for me! :)

The sheath is very very well made! It crowned the whole thing for me; super knife with super sheath tailored for me. All the waiting, designing the sheath, interacting with Busse (who I had excellent service with) and Pekka's work has really made personal affection and appreciation for this knife and sheath for me. This is THE knife for me. :D Damn, I even had to buy myself Busse t-shirt..

I am propably forgetting tons of things, but I am quite tired and it's late night when I'm writing this. I'll try to add things if I have forgotten to mention something..

Anyway...

LET'S DRINK!

Very Nice...Clean with the white contrast stitching....

Thanks folks! I sharpened this knife after chop-a-tron weekend and gave it good razor edge with little bit of freehand convex. :) Good to see it sharpens well!
