Seeing Kens Thread, Got me longing to stay in a natural shelter again (it;s been since April) But I can't get out untill my semester ends in Sept so I;ll have to settle for pics.. so if you got pics of natural shelters you've made, and preferably have slept in, than put 'em up

Lets see 'em folks.

Here is my most recent bush shelter. Tied together with bark from the limbs I chopped for it, no man made cordage. Interior dimensions are 6ft wide by 8ft deep
Third pic shows the reflective fire wall. It ended up being to effective and I had to remove the top log because it was throwing to much heat into the shelter.

Dude!.. I;ve never tried one like that.. a more upright wikkiup deal.. Looks awesome Love the lashings..
Glad to see you on Brother.

Glad you dig it. That one was for an overnight challenge on the Becker forum. It was my first overnight out with the new puppy. He was as good at keeping me warm as the fire.

yeah I can;t wait till I move from this godforsaken city so I can get me a dog.. Great fire side companion I;m sure.

Funny, I didn't realize people LIKED staying in natural shelters. I built one long ago for training and it just re-affirmed the point to always bring plastic with you. Cool pics.

This is one my kids at work built on a campout we had:
