He put up a good fight, and will be rewarded for it in Valhalla. May his journey be quick to Asgard in the company of the Valkyrie. Here is to the Boss Street, he died far too young, but fought a good fight.
Aside from that.. yeah, sending the knife in today or tomorrow. I would just regrind the tip on it but the main reason I like the knife is it's length, so I really don't want a blade any shorter than what it was.
I feel bad about breaking it/sending it in, but Amy assured me "That's what the warranty is for". I guess i'm kind of a gorilla, I honestly didn't think the knife would snap where it did, but I got caught up in the "sharpened pry bar" hype, and had something that needed prying and didn't have anything that could meet that demand at the time of prying. An CNC OD grind workrest claimed the life of him, but hopefully the folks at BC will give him a good send off, hopefully a burning raft floating off into a lake.
I guess this is why I buy Busses, best warranty in the Business!
BTW, this was not a faulty knife, I put it under way too much stress on way too small of a surface area. I thought I broke the machine when I heard the cling, but sadly it was the knife. Here's to a safe journey back to Ohio for burial, and I promise not to break the next one.
Here's to fond memories.
