I like the dye job. :) Interesting loop design. Any reason for not stitching it? It would be nice to be able to remove the the sheath but I'd be concerned with losing the knife. Still, a good design should offer proper security and it looks good in that regard.

thnx omega
the beltloop is rocksolid ,I ve made saddlebags this way and belts
The reason is no other than that it is different, if you want i can sent you the layout for a belt.

Sure, I'd like that. Now that you mention it it does look tack like. Very neat. It's also very fitted. I tend to make my sheaths fairly roomy (although with excellent retention) and I'm starting to dig the really fitted look. When I watch a show with people that really use and wear a fixed blade every day (homesteaders/cowboys and the like) it seems they typically use a very minimal and fitted sheath. I think it's the difference between a stacked style versus a pouch design, but I love em all equally.

A disadvantage of tight fit is that the knive will turn blund , this will go by after a few times in and out as the knife has found its cut in the leather. But i like tight fit best .
I like your work
