Hello everyone!

Im sure some of you will remember this thread from the past year: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1015467-Talk-about-bad-luck-How-I-lost-my-Sebbie

Well, today... after a few months of therapy... :D:eek:

Small Carbon Fiber Sebenza, S35VN in the old pouch!

PS: Any owner of a CF know if there is any chance of damaging the CF when tightening down the handle screws? It isnt titanium, and I found when I tightened the pivot screw it was a bit more hard to open!

I haven't had any issues with my large. Loosen them all up, then tighten up with the wrench long ways holding the smaller bend in your fingers, tighten. When your finger hurts or the wrench starts to spring a bit, it's tight enough. Unlike production knives, it doesn't take much or loctite for these screws to bond. Over tightening is not necessary. I've had mine tightened like that over a year and it's still tight.

Yeah Suzuki, I use the same method you use, tightened all the way down simply without overtightening with the long size of the wrench, and never had a single problem with the other Sebbie, but my tought was if I was overtightening in case the carbon fiber is less strong.

No, carbon fiber is very strong. I've not had any flexing. First time I put it together I tightened it down way more than that due to reading you could "tighten right up and have same tension". Well it was true but I realized second time around it didn't need that much pressure. Sounds like you did it right, maybe it needs to break in. I know mine did. I can thumb flick it now.

Glad you got another one! There's nothing like a sebenza in your pocket!! So the pouch is so you don't loose it?

Nice choice for a replacement! The carbon fiber small is on my list for sure!! As for the carbon fiber I have several other knives with CF scales, and they are very sturdy. Just treat it like you treat your other knives
