I have been carrying a Millie for about 6 months now. It's a black/black, and has become one of my favorite knives.

How tough are these? I would love to hear some guys opinions, on how long they have had them, or how hard you have used them.

I've carried mine for at least six too. I work construction and cut a lot of zip ties packing straps and cardboard. a welder showed me his Benchmade and was very proud of it. I pulled out the Millie and cut a choker in half. He told me he will buy a spyderco next time.

Military for those days you just need a big knife.
Southard for the days you want something cool.
Paramilitary for everything else.

Best folder out there, if you ask me. Honest, you forget there's a g-10 Millie in your belt or pocket. It's that light. And it's size is such that you open it and you surprise even yourself that you're carrying that big a knife.

I have 3 in 3 different steels and love them all, especially the blue G10/M390!
My digi camo/black s30v has been through yell for the past 5 years and doesn't even look that bad. Minimal play, dlc coating holds up great, steel holds its edge, and the thing hides in your pocket until you need it.
I have trouble leaving home without one of them.

I think you are thinking PM2.

^^This! Well maybe not the best folder part...though it's darn close! Everything else though. Yusss...

I made a couple of Franken Millies. One is Ti and S90V. The other is Ti and S60V. The knives are a little heavy at 162gm., but they are indestructible. The also retain edges like hell won't have it. The G-10 Millies are lighter at 122gm., but I prefer the frame lock for a b#lls to the walls knife.

Good points. This is one of the reasons I would jump all over a M4 Millie if presented with the opportunity at moderately reasonable price point. You get the combination of the lightweight feeling the G10 provides yet still retain the strength of the frame lock.

I posted this a few weeks back but hey, why not an encore display. Sals right, the stretch is indeed one tough hombre, but so is the Millie.

I didn't buy Knives for the last eight years. I've been indulging for the last 10 months. I have been wanting a Military for a very long time. Started trying to get a Fluted Titanium Military since the beginning of June. Two weeks after I get one I win a s90v Military. WooHoo got a fever now. Spoke up to soon on a D2 Military on the exchange and had to back out. Was excited to jump on it though. LOL

I went the other way, swapping an M4 blade from the harlequin Millie into the CF handle of my worn out S90V beater. I cherish my TiRIL Millie, but I never carry it, since I live too far from water to need a boat anchor. One or another of my Millies has been in my right back pocket for six years or more. I've used the CF handle for a lever to lift steel doors into place for mounting. I've done a tone of drywall repair work, used it to fit plywood decking and high-density particle board on cabinets. It's plenty tough without pulling my pants down. After carrying the CF models for a couple of years, the first thing I thought when I took the XHP/G-10 out of the box was "Damn, this thing is heavy."

The one with the short blade is the S90V blade that was my main work knife for three years in the G-10/Ti handle of the M4 sprint.

Somewhere there's a translation. They liked it.
