ATC has always encouraged and helped develop the entrepreneurial spirt of its people. We first saw this with Bobby Branton, now of Branton Knife Company fame. Justin as most of you well know by now is making great strides with his new knife brand, Ranger Knives.

And once again, an entrepreneur from the halls of the embattled American Tomahawk Company has emerged on the scene...

Early this year, Suzanne moved to Springfield, Ohio to make her dream a reality...her own retail store, featuring lots of "cool guy gear". Her business is "Bear Mountain".

This past August, the Springfield News featured her new store in a Saturday issue. And of course, Suzanne grabbed a VTAC for the photo-op.

Thanks Suz!

And to all...please join me in wishing Suzanne the best of success in this endeavor. And don't worry...when you call the toll free, she still answers it! ;)

And if you're ever in the market for cool stuff, drop her a note. I'll have her post her Bear Mountain contact info here.

She'll also be producing under her own brand, a limited edition Spike Tomahawk that I'll let her talk about, licensed from a book most of you know about. Very cool idea and she has our complete support!

Congrats Suzanne. Good things happen to good people.I wish you the best. I'm still putting that package together for you;) If you need anything give me a shout.

Bobby

First, THANK YOU SO MUCH, ANDY! I love American Tomahawk and my job more than any other I've ever had.

Second, My store features American Tomahawk, a select few quality knives including Ranger Knives and Ontario Knives' M9 bayonet, quality tactical gear for military, law enforcement and fire/rescue and lots of surplus items from BDU's and web gear up to a GP Medium Military tent, a complete military latrine, light kits and generators.

We cater a lot of boy & girl scouts and I give classes locally on preparedness and safety/survival.

The website is still under construction but we have a lot of stuff there already. We've been wrestling with a shopping cart program but we're on the right track now.

I do my best to have good pricing and I keep the shipping charges low.

One of our best features is finding obscure items. If you're looking for it, call me and I'll see if I can find it and I'll get you a good price.

Visit the website at: http://www.preparednessnetwork.org/bearmountain

As for the special tomahawk: It's The Frontiermen, based on the book by Allan W. Eckert. Allan lives locally and we thought it would be a great idea to do a line of tomahawks based on his Winning Of America Series. They are designed by Paul Gray (GrayHawk), hand-forged here in Ohio and they come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Allan. Allan will also be in our store in November signing copies of his books and if you want to purchase autographed copies you can call me. I'll post a photo as soon as I get a decent one. This is a limited edition of 250 for $175.00 each. They have a hickory handle engaved with The Frontiermen, Allan's signature and the numbering (1 of 250).

Due to the fact that there is no historical data based on the tomahawk that Simon Kenton carried we based it on historical photos of tomahawks from that period used by the natives of that area. It is based mainly on a design used by the Blackhawk Indians from the Illinois/Ohio River Valley areas.

A photo of the prototype without the handle engraving can be seen at: http://www.preparednessnetwork.org/bearmountain/images/frontiersmen.jpg

It is said that there will be seven signs that foretell the end of the world. So far:

Cher has an Oscar.

Two governors have "Starred in Predator" on their resumes.

Robert Humelbaugh still draws breath.

And now this.

I'm getting my affairs in order.

Congrats Suzanne!

;)

And the fact that you still walk the earth proves that Satan has returned. :D

You have been missed - you never call, no flowers, no wine. ;)

I special ordered 2 bottles of the Riserva but there was no 1986 available. I got 1989 - but now I hate the thought of opening them. I don't know how wine collectors do it - buy expensive bottles, treat them like children and then just open them up and drink them. And yeah, $40 for a bottle of wine is expensive to me. LOL!

'87 is the gem if you can find it.

And think how much more handsome Andy, Justin and Robert will be after a bottle of the '89. Or two.

Congrats Suzanne. I hope the new venture does extremely well. Do you have a website up and running?

This is great!!!!!! I hope your new store does great!!!!!!! :) :D :) :D

Good luck
