Many in our military have fought for our freedoms, and one if those is the right to vote. Let's think of all our brothers and sisters who gave their lives so we could enjoy the right to vote and to speak freely.

I voted weeks ago; we Oregonians do that. But I also urge all of you who are called upon to vote today to heed that call-to-duty.

Everybody should vote. Even if you think that your vote doesn't mean anything here are always local votes that matter where your one vote actually make a difference.

Besides, if you don't vote, you forfeit your right to b*tch and moan about politicians!

I was at the polling place just after they opened at 7AM. I've never liked absentee ballots. Voting is fun. For some reason I didn't receive a sticker, though. Nuts. I hope all of you Sandy people don't have too much trouble. Happy Election Day 2012. :)

As they say in Chicago, vote wisely and vote often. ;)

I voted weeks ago. We can do that in AZ.

Well I had to drive my roommate back to the polls because he had automotive trouble so I was able to get my sticker. Apparently they had misplaced them this morning. Now I feel complete. :)

Done, awaiting my followup call to participate in the other fantastic priviledge associated with registering to vote...jury duty.

The winner of the presidential election was announced before Californias votes were even counted. Guess all those who voted here in California wasted their time, their votes didn't count one bit, they had no effect whatsoever on the election. Democracy in action.

Talking about how important it is to vote, how it's ones civic duty, etc, etc, may sound good in civics class, but when the voting results of entire states are completely disregarded and ignored in the election of the president, such sentiments ring hollow in my opinion.

Too drunk too properly respond right now, but obviously there are all the props to vote for. Also there is the idea that one can use their vote to show how accurate the electoral college really is or vote third party to make its own statement.

I don't think it is wasted either way, hell even if you don't vote for prez

Edited to say if this approaches too political or wrong in some way please remove from thread.
