So I just won this 10 knife lot on eBay, mostly because I was interested in the small stockman and the two little ones.
11$ for the lot isn't bad, well $21 shipped anyways.
Maybe I overpaid maybe not.

The colonial? Barlow is missing a bolster on the other side, and the fish knife has a broken tip which is a shame.
Beyond that nothing looks too bad.
that large toothpick on the bottom looks like a shell handled Imperial or Colonial.
Then there's that weird looking thing just above the bottle opener keychain.
What would you guess the two Stockman to be ?
Something is supposed to be Utica, I'm guessing it would be the fish knife.
Whatever it is, if there's anything decent that I don't want it'll find it's way into the Traditional Box GAW
Definitely the 2 blade congress if it's in decent shape, I'm not big on the congress pattern.

I thought it might be fun to speculate on what's here and find out if we were right when i get them.

Both those stockman sure seem like decent quality knives if the condition proves the same when I get them in hand.
The spey blade on the larger stockman sure screams Colonial to me.
I'd bet good money on it being a colonial Ranger.

The large stockman may be a colonial ranger, the half congress and black fish knife could be camillus products, barlow looks colonial, the other fish knife looks imperial/hammer brand. The smaller stockman is unfamiliar to me, it's kind of different. I have no idea so I would guess kingston, which is likely wrong. I have no idea what the rest would be.

That's all my speculating, don't quote me on it. It's fun trying to figure out what a knife is from internet photos.

The big black handled stockman reminds me a lot of a Buck 307 but the shape of the spey blade looks a bit different. If that's what it is then you got it for little to nothin. Good find!

It's carbon steel, so Buck is out.
I'm definitely thinking it's a colonial Ranger.

Colonial was definitely my first Instinct, but I the ranger series had slipped my mind at the time.

We're pretty much on the same page.
I'm really really thinking the larger stockman is a Colonial Ranger, and that toothpick definitely looks imperial or hammer brand type to me.
Obviously a shell knife with half of that faux perl film being peeled away.

Something is supposed to be Utica in this lot of 10, it'll be interesting to see which knife it is.

I'm 90% that the small stockman is the Utica. Awhile back while looking up something else about Kutmaster, I remembered I seen a pic very similar to the little one. Clip main and pen on same end, relief cut for the pen, coping on the opposite end. Well I googled and found it again, except it has brown bone covers.Vintage-Kutmaster-Utica-NY-USA-Stockman.jpgNot my knife or photo, this is the pic I found
Edit: usually I have CRS, but the pen and clip on the same end triggered my faulty memory banks, kinda a odd combo is it not?

You just may be right, it certainly looks most like this than anything else.

Scheduled to arrive Tuesday, well know if we were right on our speculations then.
Well we'll know if we were right and most importantly what these knives are, ok may not most importantly because guessing and wondering is as fun as the knives themselves are:D

The black "Fish Knife" with the broken tip is made by Camillus for F. W. Woolworth’s Stores. It's very common to find them with broken tips for some reason  but it's an easy fix if your up for a little DIY. Just reprofile the tip and then grind down that little shoulder on the bottom of the ricasso so the new tip sits down inside the scales. I recently picked one up at a show for $15 bucks and I probably overpaid but I us to have one in my tackle box as a kid so I just had to have it.

Hopefully taking down the kick doesn't cause blade wrap, there doesn't look to be much kick there to begin with.

And thanks for the info on it being Camillus made.

Well we'll have our answers here in a few hours after the post office finishes filling the PO boxes.

The large stockman is a colonial as I suspected.
It looks like someone just abused the sheep's foot a little then let it sit in a tackle box or toolbox.
All the blades are tight with great pull, and are all very full with minimal use minus that damage to the sheep's foot.

The little dogleg stockman is a Utica kutmaster that only needs minor work

The fish knife is a Camillus / Kent which also has a broken brass liner lock

The toothpick is an imperial hammer in pretty sorry condition

The Congress is a worn out Utica

The Barlow is a Colonial in pretty rough shape

This thing is I guess a pocket marking knife

This little guy is a Kong Kong gumball prize with a soft sheet metal blade

And lastly the little tortoise shell looking one is made in Germany, looks like it reads Swarwerke or something similar.

Here's the Kent fish all fixed / cleaned up

And the broken linerlock taken down flush.

Here's the colonial Ranger and the little Utica.

td bank branch hours near me
I think it's carbon steel, but almost looks like stainless.
I'll have to leave a drop of lemon juice on it for a few minutes and see what happens.

Here's the imperial hammer brand toothpick all cleaned up and sharpened.

With the plastic film broken on one side i went ahead and removed it.
It's a hammer brand so I painted it with some hammered metal spray paint, once it's cured I'll put the sides back on with some epoxy putty underneath to fix the flimsy springy feel they have.

Billdishivs tells me the " thingy " is an Ink erasing knife.
Makes sense with the company on it being an ink manufacturer.
