A few days ago, I posted a couple finished knives, and then sent them off to our sheath guru Paul Long for booties. As usual, I just said, "Make 'em pretty, your choice of what to do."

Both sheaths were great, but I just have to post up what Paul chose for the little hunter with red-dyed Stag taper handle. He found some red lizard the exact same tone as the handle, and, well, there's gonna be one happy collector. There's already one happy maker.

Now, doesn't that sheath make the knife pop!

Yeah, Paul...

Paul does it again for sure. He certainly has a knack for making the perfect companion for custom knives. This is an excellent example and surely the new owner will be very happy with the whole package.

Jon

that totally kicks ass.

Paul is "Da-Man", especially when he has "Free-Range" on the sheath design.

Of course, it helps when you have a great knife to build around.

Great job John and Paul.

Robert

haha, Paul, you should market your sheaths as organic, free range and bump the price up another 15%:D

I couldn't imagine a better looking sheath for that knife.

John that is a fantastic combo the stag is awesome
The sheath is what you would expect from the finest sheath maker out there in a word PERFECT

Paul is not only the finest sheath maker out there he is one of the finest men that I have ever met. It is a privelage to call him my friend

Hail to the chief.!!

Nice work Paul, as always.

The fine details that Paul puts into his sheaths match the details you've put into your knives. Both works of art from two master craftsmen.

John,

I often request things of Paul that others do not, and it has been our experience that this works out to both of our benefits.

I ask Paul to make the inlay as large as possible, as I feel that brings out the look of the sheath....Paul's natural inclination is to make the inlay on the smaller side for structural integrity of the sheath. He will make it how the sheath buyer wants it...as long as he feels it is not foolish.

Paul has been a very good friend over the years, loyal, honest and about as professional to deal with as a person could ask for....he is a standard of humanity that I find refreshing and a model to be emulated. In a word, Paul Long is the best, and I am proud and honored to know him and call him friend.....as many of us are.....and someday, brother Joseph will learn how to spell.:D

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson
