What are all the uses that can be thought up for Parachute cord??? In the Out doors, Urban would be much more I think. Ill take the easy ones
Bow and drill (bow string)
Fishing line
Sewing
Trap building
Snares
Bola(several strings with rocks tied on the ends that is thrown at animals)
Running Noose
Trip wire
Bird nets(it would take a while but possible)
Shelter construction
Bow string for bow and arrow
Tourniquet
Shoe laces(actually where I keep most of my para cord)
Streching hides while tanning them
Make lanyards for your knife to beat boredom:D
What else??

Hanging food to keep animals out of it.

Emergency guide lines for use in whiteout (blizzard) conditions. (Might be necessary if someone gets lost in the whiteout)

Use to lower containers into wells/cattle tanks to get water.

Wrapped around an uncomfortable knife handle.
Attach a blade to a stick to make a spear.
Clothesline.
Garrote.
Belt.
Suspenders.
Emergency fan-belt.
Leash for pets (or kids).
Like Bulgron said, a guideline--not just for blizzards, but also for caves and underwater and even trails at night.

Lots of good ideas here.

One use for paracord that I'm thinking of is surrounding one's campsite with a line of it, strung between trees at different heights and levels, for some measure of protection during the night, as a trip-line. Anyone desiring to enter your camp will be tripped up and stumbling, along with probably making a good deal of noise, thereby giving you some early-warning to trespassers, either human or animal. Night vision goggles would be stymied, too, so long as you haven't kept a fire lit, that would backlight the paracord trip-line.

Good thread, wade! I hope that it continues.

Floss? You could take apart one of the inner strands and floss your teeth
stringer when fishing
make snow shoes

For making a pole-axe for powerful wood chopping.

For making a sling (the hunting weapon)

For making a sling (the kind for broken arms.

As accelerant/fuel for a fire.

On the medical side--be careful using 550 cord for TQs. Because of the narrow gauge of the material you can actually cut the tissue causing more problems than not. However, if you take the gutted strands and strip THEM down to smaller pieces, you can use that for suture material. Just remember they're not absorbable...

I got one
Fishing lure, cut a small chunk melt one end and fray the other, put a hook in it and a sinker at the melted end and you have a jig, I made one and will post picts later
