They seem like they have a similar size, thickness, and style......can any one that is lucky enough to have them both post some pictures to help me make up my mind on which one to get....I am sold on one but since the cost is the same I am trying to find a tye breaker as to which one to blow my knife money on.....I know both is the right answer, but if you had to choose which one is your fav.

Similar styles? Sure you're thinking of the HG55? If so I can take some pics this weekend if no one else gets their SAR4 first this week.

Boss HG55

5-1/2" 10-3/4" Approx .25"+
from Busse combat....

SARS4LE

The blade is 4 7/8" long. We went with a full-height convex grind and a thickness of .220 in order to give it great cutting geometry and strength for it's anticipated mission. Over all length is 10 3/4".from company store.........

sounds like the SARS has more handle less blade and from the pics looks wider...? same overall length

Well, great. I guess I need to whip out the "Hello Kitty" blanket again...

Stay tuned...

This one is for Guyon.

While their overall length may be virtually identical, they are very different knives. The blade of the SAR4 is significantly wider, and while that of the HG55 is narrower, its blade is slightly thicker (0.25 versus 0.22 inches).

One advantage of the SAR4 LE is that you can achieve near-instant gratification via BCS.

Could someone please put a Hello Kitty filter on this man?

Great pix, Lunde. Wow.

Reminds me of the diff between a Randall 15 (SAR4) and a Randall 3 (HG55). Beefy vs. blade shape. Wow.

Lunde, great pics of H.Kitty. I am totally in love. :D
that made my day(night here).

Loving those Sar Pics, the blade is definatley a useful size. I am not one for 5 inch blades but this one looks very handy.

That’s it; I am sold on the SARS!!!! Now hopefully the still have one at the company store. Thanks Lunde for the awesome pictures.....The are very different indeed. I like the wide blade of the SARS, the HG would make a mean sticker, but the SARS is a great all around utility shape that will come handy in the woods. The HG looks pretty darn cool, and for its old school heritage looks kind of futuristic. Thanks again for the pictures to help push me over the edge…..now the only question is who’s going to make me some leather pants…..

I decided to whip out one of my SAR5s (and a "Hello Kitty" pillow) for another comparison shot:

The lighting sort of sucks, but we're comparing sizes here. ;)

Yes! Bigger than the SAR5 in every way! It just feels like the knife you always dreamed of holding, can I put it in any clearer words for you holdouts?:D Get'em while they still have some, before I sell the neighbor's kids off for a few more:foot:(goats for you PC types:p)

The words No Shetz will forever be linked with this knife by all who witness it being drawn from a sheath:eek: Behold the INFI! It's perfection Jerry, perfection in INFI I tell you!! I just spent my root canal money on 4 of these, and now I'll just pop the damn tooth out myself with Ole' #62:D That scream you hear will be nothing to worry about folks....
