I have read so much about Hinderer knives and love the way they look. I have an XM24 on the way, but haven't seen many pictures of people using them. Lets see some Pictures of some Action! I can't wait to get some action of my own.

How about a little fly fishing excursion on a remote trout stream last week?

Looking great so far. that river scene looks similar to Norfork River and White River around Mt Home AR. I may need to visit MI sometime.

Cutting the tarp of of a wooden box housing electronics, Leinster Point St John USVI, termites infested the box and scorpions moved in to eat 'em (I think) must have been 12 of them in a 2' x 4' x 4' box mostly hiding under the stapled on tarp.

XM-18 clipped in my pocket, using 85 pound gas powered jackhammer to drive 9/16th stainless steel rod into permafrost to serve as a survey bench mark, Quinhagak Alaska. Use the XM to remove protective covers from the ends of the 4' sections of rod, installed 5 bench marks there driving the rod 28'-40' per mark. (I'm the bald one)

Found one from my last trip, stick welding tide gauge sensors to sheet pile in Unalakleet Alaska. XM clipped to pants that are way to thin to weld in, my under armor base layer looks like I had the 12 gauge out paterning bird shot on it.

The person I was going to hire to weld bailed on me, but he dropped off the welder for the day at no charge.

The seafood plant was nice enough to lower me over the side using a loader with forks, lots of swing even with the thing tied off plus the wake from skiffs going by added to the fun.

I received my XM-24 last week, and have worked every day in the ER. No hard use yet but I tested to see if it was shaving sharp. Turns out it was sharper out of the box than any I've bought before and shaved off more than expected. . . so I just removed the rest of the hair from the top of my hand. I was a hairy beast.

this leylands came in from S.C. I don't know why they used these straps to hold trunk and roots in place in root ball. The problem is they won't dissenagrate,I had to swap them out for this kerosene treated twine . Even though its treated it will dissenagrate under soil in six months.

Here's a couple new ones, XM18 mostly hidden cutting electric tape off of line and XM18 in pocket at the ready... Cape Krusenstern Arctic Ocean Alaska

Cat-a-raft I built to pull tide gauging sensor anchor's up from the ocean floor with a 12v capstan winch.

Gotta keep an eye on those pesky turtles BP. They'll run away with just about anything :D

Do you use a lanyard on your XM-18 out on the ocean?

Just a 2" length of para and a bead, like in post #7.

I've thought about a long lanyard, but wouldn't want to be tied to something sharp when it's rough, or get too complacent and let it dangle and come open when I'm not paying attention. I end up climbing and crawling around a lot on rocks, boats and docks and haven't had one come un-cliped form my pocket, yet anyway. I wear carharts or TAD pants for the most part but have gone months on jobs wearing thinner material shorts or trunks with pockets without trouble, I do check to make sure it's there more often when wearing thin seamed shorts though.

I stopped carrying a fixed blade at work for similar reasons, I kept finding myself unable to sheath the knife because it was too rough, a folder I can close one handed and slip into a pocket or clip to my shirt or coat.
