I know there are alot of hunters out there in Busse land Lets see how you guys are doing. I have not had alot of time to deer hunt this year I was in Alaska a few weeks back and have had to work alot lately to catch up. Here is a little Buck I shot on an archery drive the other day.. Useing archery equipement on deer drives is tuff as you guys know if they give ya a shot you only have a second to look them over and find an opening for a shot. I thought this one was bigger by the size of his main frame but I am still pleased.:D

Great looking wall! That new mount might get some ribbin from the others, being a six-pointer, and all; but I bet he lasted a might longer through the season than his new neighbors ever did. ;)

nice deer

That deer wouldn't even be legal in my neck of the woods of PA :grumpy:

Sooweet! Nothin' here this year, but I'm getting ready for next year already.

BTW, I love that wall. Headgear and heads. That skull would go nicely in my collection!;)

This one is mine...

This next one... Man it hurts to even talk about it.

I got the one pictured above the evening prior and a guy that works with me had not been having any luck. So I offered to guide for him... Of course he gets the largest Buck I've ever seen alive. And then, while I am caping him (he just wanted the meat and horns, I had to convince him to mount it), he tells me "I'd rather be Duck hunting". I almost killed him.

The pictures really don't do this deer justice.

WOW!!!

I hope you find him!!!

Oh, and as much as I love my Busse's, I've found a new skinning and caping tool. The little snap off box cutter/ Xacto blades that come in a yellow handled two pack at Wal-Mart for about $3. Since you only use about an inch of blade for most of the skinning and cleaning these work GREAT. As they dull, just snap off that part and push out more sections. I can clean and quarter in less than thirty minutes now. I stilll take a while to do a good caping job, but I don't mind that ;)

Good luck on that hoss!

NICE!!

Where did you take that one at?

You wouldn't happen to be a guide would you????

If you mean the caribou, then no, I am not a guide. But I do know a very good guide that hunts in norther Labrador.

I have been up there twice with my father (the one holding the antlers in the picture), and we tagged out both times. The one he is holding is the biggest that we took, but the others ones were also pretty big. And the bonus is the meat. Caribou has to be my favourite big game animal as far as taste goes.

The amazing thing is that they seem to appear out of no where. They pop up out of gullies, and then they can be gone as fast. You might also see 1-200 one day, and none the next. I am trying to get a trip together with my father to go back again next year.

Nice Caribou..

Last year was a good year
