nice moose. i really need to pick up some micarta handles. who made that sheath? ive been thinking i might wanna get some leather for my bk2( which is weird cause im normally a kydex guy) and that sheath looks amazing.

moose- i feel stupid...
edxamador- dude that thing is shiny. i love the way that looks. nice handles on the bk11, how hard was that to do?
flexx-thats like my dream bk-2. i definitely want that. i sharpened up my bk2 today, and i stopped paying attention to what i was doing for like 2 minutes watching tv. tooks me an hour and a half on the stone to get the edge back from my screwup. lesson of the day, pay attention

For all of you that haven't,

GO GET STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE!!!

Size 10-24 5/8"

It is a nice way to spiff up yer pretty knives, and it doesn't rust, like the stock bolts will do after some time.

in case anybody wanted to skin a buick?

the ORIGINAL stripped BK2, course, it was never wearing clothes to begin with. all hail the KING:

with skin so light as this, kind of hard to capture, but she's not stripped, she's hard chromed from the factory:

to be honest this whole thing of wood working it is pretty new to me, what I did i learned from you tube ....that being said it was not that hard to make the scales for the bk11 just got a good teak wood carved it with my mora, sanded it with 80 grit then 600 and finally 1500 to polish it and used epoxy......now I al ttrying to do the same for the Bk2 and that is a whole new story.....I hae done 2 failes attemps of scales....first one did not get the size right.....then the wood looks I did not like....so now I am frustrated and planning to make new ones or save me the frustration and order some micarta.... the stripping did it with sand paper and polishing paste ( flits) the trick is circular motion. .....sand in sand out danielsan.....

DAMNNIT!!!! That BK2 Serrated is awesome! I need to find one. It shouldn't be hard since everybody hates serrations.

Do you all force a patina on your stripped BK2s? If not what do u do to prevent rusting?

having the high polish does protect a lot against rusting, however I do keep my knife oiled and to avoid any water getting in the handle I have it sealed with Vaseline ( which also protects the bolts and nuts) I do need to upgrade to the stainless.
