With Deer season in full swing, lets see pics of your Harvest, and what you took em with, and what steel you used to clean em up.!!!!!

Only had archery season here yet. Muzzloader comes in for a few days this weekend, followed by a few days of rifle hunting. Regular season doesn't open until mid December. I have quite a few coming in to a food plot, so maybe this coming week I'll get one.

Good luck man!

I helped a buddy drag out and clean 2 bucks and a Doe last weekend.

He shot 3 before 11am.

Shot with a Marlin 336 in .30-30, with a Bushnell 1.5-4.5 scope on top. Excellent setup, if you ask me.

Gutted and butchered with a Breeden Pathfinder, skinned with an Izula.

Looking for a buck, or maybe another doe this weekend.

I thought the Izula was an excellent skinner. Small, controllable, and sharp. Some may not like the lack of scales, but I thought it worked fine. No wrap on mine, either.

I got a doe with my .270 had it handloaded with Nosler Partion 130 grains. Skinning and quartering was handled by a Case trapper CV . I hunt mostly in the mornings been seeing most of the deer around 9 am but when I was in a hunting club I would stay in the tree till noon, alot of deer move when the other hunters leave the woods.

I would like to see a primitive hunting thread. Any kills without modern technology? I know, I'm nuts.

Got this spike on a drive my buddy did. He stopped 10 yds in front of me. Shot him with my Horton crossbow. Gutted it with my CPM154 wharnie and split the breastbone and pelvic bone with a scaled down WST, A2 steel.

Going this weekend for the first time in about 15 years, so hopefully will have something to show soon! :D

I am just leaving for Deer amp today. Probably won't hunt until Friday. It shouldn't take long, we have mule deer coming out of our ears. I expect to see a couple hundred over tow or three days. I just bought two doe tags this year. The Game and fish has been emailing hunters trying to get them to buy some more doe tags.

My grandad used a Case Trapper as his main hunting knife. I was always amazed at how he worked that blade.

Not nuts. That would be really a neat thread.

As soon as I have the time I am going ot build my own recurve to hunt with next year...

Id love to see your bow when youre done.....An Osage longbow has been on my list to build for awhile. Trad archery is soooo fun.

I really regret selling my longbow. :(

They should be just handing em out if the deer are so overpopulated. Good luck! They are pretty dense around here too. Counted 8 on the way home from work. Mostly doe, but I did see an impressive Buck. One night on the ambulance we spotlighted 23 deer on the way to a call. It was creepy.

Yeah, Lets see them. Please.

I hunted the first four days of season up in Michigan's UP, I saw one doe and that's it. I was passing on at least 4 different small 6 points last year (they were around at the end of the season too) and I was hoping to get one of them this year as an 8 or 10. No one at all was seeing many deer, I think it has to do with the crazy warm weather. Highs near 50.

Anyway I'm heading back up next monday and hunting for a week, hope things get better.
