Anyone else into customizing their factory knives? I've found a love for it over the years and, love it or hate it, it definitely changes things up a bit. General thoughts... Bad-Axx or Blasphemy?

These started out as stock Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6's. The top two I converted into switchblades, the bottom one is a custom manual.

Y'all have probably seen most of them around, but without further ado, here's a few.

Sanded Cerakote blade, baked and tourched zircuti pocket clip.



Purple/Bronze antique body, peekaboo Mcnasty, filed spine, matching multi ano backspacer/clip. Purple hardware, bronze pivot. Working finish blade.



Bronze body, snake show, heavy barked lock side. Bronze/ hardware and pivot.



From all stonewashed to all polished, body hardware. Laser cut breezy pattern.



From PJ to black/blue ano, acid whipped blade.

I don't think I have a knife in my regular carry rotation that I haven't customized myself in at least some small way. Anodizing, scale swaps, Rit dye, etching/patina, stonewash, brushing the flats, flaming the hardware, etc. I even do scale swaps of one sort or another on most of my SAK's (why have a Classic when you can have a Rambler?), and I brush the bolsters and blades on all of my Case knives too. In fact, ideas for customization often drive my purchases. I don't claim any particular expertise or skill, other than I know I come up with cool ideas. Then I just hack my way through until I bring my vision into being. It's something I do in every aspect of my life and have always done, from small items all the way up to my living spaces; and it's something I could no quicker stop myself from doing than I could breathing the air.
