I just recently scored a new one from another member, and alls I can say, is wow!
The fusion handle is incredible. Not to mention that she measures. 33"! And, weighs 29oz lol. That's a lot of SR101 goodness right there.
Well, without any further ado, here's mine. She is Muddy with Green Canvas Micarta, but sure looks like Tan Canvas Micarta to me. Either way, it's all good. Can't wait to see some more FAT FSH.

Thanks guys. My first, and only (so far), Bussekin Bumblebee. Purchased it here on BF Exchange a couple of years ago. Blade stripped and sanded. A great heavy duty chopper.

Try some oil (I use mineral oil) on the micarta if you want to darken it. I thought the same thing when I received a green canvas ratmandu but it darkens with oil or use. The oil from your hands darkens it which is what I like, give the handle character the more you use it.

Yes sir. She's already darkening with just handling her. It's really neat.

Beautiful, I'd love one just like that. It's the fatty version right?

Yep. Was muddy/tan canvas. Coating came off pretty easy with Citristrip. Grinder gremlins hit the logo area and in front of the scales, but I don’t mind. The rest of the blade is really clean. Did a light salt water etch on the logo.

Have done some additional shaping on the scales with sandpaper. Have a little more to go with the scales and then a lot of sanding needed on the blade to remove the decarb. May try some red or black Rit dye on the scales once everything else is done.

That came out great !!!!! Nice job !!!
Thanks! Just picked up some new abrasive buffs for my Dremel to help out clean it all up a bit more.

While I don’t mind the grinder marks all that much, I’ve gotta say it is a bit of a bummer now that the blade is cleaned up. First BG stripper I’ve done that didn’t come out clean. Guess there may be some rationale for it, but really looks like someone did it just to be a dick after the blade was otherwise finished lol.

The saga continues 😁

I really liked to look of the cnc texture on the stock scales, but the feel of the hand shaping I did wins. Still kind of in awe of this blade. Held off on any fatties for a long time, but this is up there with my all-times faves now.
