Every multi-tool the first thing I do is magnetize the pliers and phillips head. It was a life saver last week when I was putting the electrical cover in place for ceiling fan and a screw that dropped into the housing. Those magnetized tips saved me from having to pull down the ceiling fan and get that screw out.

How do you magnetize your tools?

I got these several years ago at SEARS.

They are specifically used for magnetizing tools. Just put attach each end and rub them up and down for about a minute and you are good for a year or more.

that is a great mod. did a quick google and apparently you can get one on the river for less than 10 bucks.
