I thought it may be cool to see all of the varieties of neck knives people are carrying.

It never ceases to amaze me how cool and functional a little neck knife can be. I always have one with me when I'm not at work and they usually see more activity that my folders.

It's also a great way to buy customs, often at production prices.

Here's my collection, and all of them see a good deal of use.

(well, the top one just came today, but will see plenty of use!)

I've got a Dozier Razorback, a Tomey wharncliffe Thumb Tac, 2 Simonich mid-tech Crowfoots (crowfeet? ;)), a damascus necker from Jim Downie, and this one, which sees more time around my neck than all the others combined:

R.W. Clark wharncliffe mini-MAU (photo borrowed from BladeArt.com), 1 3/4" zone hardened O1 blade, 4 1/2" overall.

I tired to avoid the whole neck knife fad, but then Darrel sent me this.

Then when James Mattis died I bought this in his memory.

Next came a gift from my buddy Don Eargle, a one of a kind.

Finally the only production neck knife I own, great little knife.

I've worn all four at one time or another, I've got the Mini Talon on now. I've come to really appreciate neck knives.

My necker collection consists of:
-Emerson La Griffe
-Rekat Hobbit Fang
-CRKT Neck Peck
-Clark Mini Aikuchi

PhilL, that mini puukko looks very nice. Where did you get it?

I bought it from the maker at New York Custom Knife Show, Nov. 2000. You're right, it is a nicely made knife. I had no idea what a Puukko was before I heard James Matiis mention them.

My only neck knife for the time being is a Mad Dog Mirage X Mini-Operator. This will replace my Crawford titanium KFF style neck knife, currently being sold in the custom area.

I have a few:

Cold Steel Bird and Trout in carbon V
SAK Trailmaster
SAK Rucksack (both in Normark's fine neck rigs)
and soon it'll be the SAK Camper when my next Normark shipment arrives.

I'm sorry guys. Anytime I get a neck knife I have a habit of photographing it around a better neck than my own. I don't think they would weant me to post those shots on this forum.

Well, here is the neck knife shelf from my knife cabinet. As you can see, I like that Native look!

Yes, Chisel, I like that piece too! What, who, where, how much?
Sorry, no photos, but...

* Webb and Fisher Wharnie, sharpest knife I own, perfect for everything
* Smith and Wesson drop point, inexpensive impulse buy, not bad at all.
* Gary Bradburn (borderline neck) great knife, might sell just 'cuz I don't carry or use it, D2, but don't know if 7" overall qualifies as neck or too big.
