What kind of survival kits do you guys carry? Ready mades? Altiods Tins? Homemade? As soon as I can get some pics of mine I'll post them. In the meantime lets see yours.

The only part of the kit that isn't in the photo is the small food gathering kit that I stuffed into the compass tube with the tinder.

Great Pics, I'll have my shots in a day or so. I'll have to borrow my dad's camera from work. Until then, keep them coming.

North, I love that antler handled Vic. Sweet!

Yup it's really nice. I have processed many caribou with it and the gutting blade and saw are really useful. It also makes a good wood working knife and has the Awl on the back for drilling. Not a locking blade but the double strength springs have a slight safety factor

Bought it in 1988. Tried to buy another in the 90's and it was gone.

Burncycle, I really think that you small kit is very well done, something I have been considering putting together with some of the leftover goodies from past kits so as to carry in town or to add to my larger kit. nice job

Burncycle,, nice looking kit. I am having a hard time ID'ing the black item below the Gerber knfe and also the 2 silver items with red tips to the right of the Gerber. Also, what are the 2 wire loop items below the milk bags?

need to add a few things but all in all this is it. Duct tape seals it up.

The item below the knife is a little LED flashlight. The two silver items with red tips are even smaller LED flashlights ;)

The wire loop things are handles for the saw. I can probably use some sort of cordage (550 cord is too thick) to save room, but I haven't experimented yet
