I'm an idiot. Wal-Mart clearanced some out for $49 recently, and I didn't get one.

I have the earlier etrex. Slightly smaller unit with map pack. It has never failed me.

I do most of my hunting in scrub oaks and wetlands ( swamp ) the only things that change would be pistol or rifle combo .
