I'm getting ready to wrap mine, but it looks like I'll need to heat up the opening on the factory sheath and remold it to accommodate the wrap job.
Has anyone done this with the factory sheath?
How'd it turn out?

Feel free to post up pics of your cord-wrapped Remora's!!
Here's mine pre-wrap:

Thanks guys. Always liked the wrap, but hate my mods, haha. My jimping looks like a 3rd grader did it. :D

Haha. My first mod was jimping on my BK11.
I learned what NOT to do again. Lol
This pic was taken after I "fixed" it.

I pulled out the core of the paracord so it would lay flatter. Just melted and flattened ends.

I wrapped mine in 125 cord (I think, 3 strand paracord gutted, ~2.5mm Ø) and wove it. I don't love it, but it was a fair bit of work and since I don't really carry it, Imma leave it. I just modified the sheath by cutting it but leaving the retainer for the finger guard intact. I really should make a little kydex for it.

I don't have a recent photo, or one of the sheath....thanks for the reminder about my neglected little Remora...

May not be exactly what you're looking for, but it took my remora from a second guessed purchase to something I use quite a bit.

Went with The Gunyon approved wrap and notched the sheath.
This should do just fine!
I lost just a tad bit of retention by notching the sheath, but not enough to worry about.

I kept the stock sheath intact. A small bit of thread has been used on mine to keep the loops tight near the sheath.

The only Remora I ever liked. Blade is to small for the handle. And I would have to choil that muther effin finger guard off.

Thanks man! Yeah, some micarta slabs made a world of a difference in how it handles. It feels much more like a bigger knife than it is now. I've been thinking about getting another to do up with Cocobolo and brass pins.

Hmmm......

This may need to happen........
