Just got a new dog....American Staffordshire Terrier. 5 month old from a rescue shelter. Responds well to training...a little stubborn at times...but has accepted us and our home. Shooting for her to pass "Canine Good Citizenship" and maybe some advanced obedience stuff.

Loves the kids...loves to chew...teaching her not to mix the two...:foot:

So, let's see 'em....bring on the dogs!

Here are some of our Newfoundlands.

This is Rocky helping with calf chores a few years back.

Our border collie will get jealous if he is not included. Here is Jackson as a puppy being kissed by a calf. He has that look on his face since he usually gets in trouble for messing with the cattle. Here he is claiming innocence as the calf is coming to him. He is all grown up now and the master of his domain (except for the mountain lions which he runs back to me for:o ).

This is Kane. He is spoiled rotten and can't understand why I don't want 50 pounds up in the bed with me every night.

I was fortunate enough to find a wonderful home for my dog, and I get visitation rights! (In fact, I'm really a family member now.)

Here are many, many pics from last year. Look past the infamous "Tazed Hobbit" pics and see the beautiful Star. I got her a rug a while back. I'll see if I can take a picture of her on it while I'm on leave.

Oh, look at Rocky! I love big dogs. My dog plans are black Labrador first, Boxer when my first child gets to be about three, and maybe eventually a Great Pyrenees.

Man, I have two dogs but only pics of one. I feel bad about that!

Well, here's the ferocious guinness.

Born killer, can't you tell?

Man, tomorrow I go home for Thanksgiving, and I can't wait. School's getting crazy and I just want to hang out with my family, my girlfriend, my dogs, my guns and knives, and everything else that's relatively simple and good. Some time to decompress. These puppy pics sure drive that home--I've always been a dog person! :)

Nice looking dog grappler.

Why target the armpit? closer to center of gravity and balance?

My what nice (and largely pure bred) doggies you fellas have:)

...and now for a dog that will "mutty" the waters so to speak.
I give you Rox. He's a half Sheltie, half beagle, and half mystery terrier (do not correct the math of Rox. Rox' math beyond your simple concept of fractions).

Rox is none too happy with the ferret (not shown) on laundry day.

Rox stuffs the ferret into a trash bag box and trys to smuggle him out into the garbage without us noticing...he fails

Rox manages to mess up a picture by blinking.
