As the title suggests, Busse and company make some seriously over the top extreme use blades, I see a lot of pictures of people using them for cutting cakes, slicing ribeyes, opening beverages, etc. We all know these knives are built for extreme use and abuse, how many of you take the time to give this sort of loving to your cutlery? I can say firsthand that I very seldom actually do... which makes me question owning the knives (myself) in the first place beyond putting in a bugout bag perhaps. Let's see ye' fellers cutting stuff... who wants to be the first to cut a porcelain toilet in half?

I mean, it would be covered by warranty.....

Busses are good as improvised stair cases.

South Texas wood is VERY hard and VERY unforgiving. It's nothing like that "balsa"-like stuff you see the YouTube regulars beating on.

Anyhoo, my little HR2 snapped right back to "true"...

I've beaten my HR2s and Mega Rats senseless...

Reminds me of the juniper around my place. Unforgiving wood but fun to test blades on.

In my humble opinion, when a knife Manufacturer tells you something like...

"Busse Knife Group encourages extreme usage of our blades as they are without question "The Toughest Knives in the World". We have no rivals. You can use a Busse Knife Group blade as hard as you like and our warranty has you covered."

...that's definitely a knife worth owning. 👍

Cleaned my finger nails with my rat trap today. Doesn’t sound like much but my nails are generally packed with INFI dust.

Did use a basic 9 last week to take the hooves off a few hog carcasses we were processing. Hog leg bones can be rough but no problem for the Basic 9.
